The Technology Business Expansion Seeding Project was created to encourage Northside businesses to adopt computer and web technology in order to work more effectively and efficiently in today’s competitive digital economy.
If selected, your business will receive professional, individualized technical and planning support, as well as a matching grant of up to $10,000 to ‘grow’ technology use in your business.
Your business will also have the opportunity to serve as an example---encouraging neighboring businesses and ‘growing’ the use of technology on the Northside.
The Tech Seeding Project is not only about your company becoming more competitive, but also about the Northside becoming more competitive regionally.
One of the many positive outcomes expected from the Tech Seeding Project is job creation. The Northside Fund, as well as the Project’s sponsors, would like to increase the employment opportunities for qualified, low-income, Northside residents whenever possible. Major funding for the Technology Seeding Project comes from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Community Services, Job Opportunities for low Income Individuals Program. Additional funding is provided by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development.
