Urban Redevelopment Authority The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA) is more than a redevelopment authority -- it is the City of Pittsburgh's economic development agency. As a developer of last resort, the URA develops properties which the private sector will not undertake. Our goals are to create jobs, increase the city's tax base, and improve the vitality of businesses, neighborhoods, and the City's culture as a whole. In addition to the Northside Supplier Network the URA is funding a variety of Technology Zone Programs to help businesses on the Northside. National City Bank The CDC acts as a contact and catalyst between various neighborhood groups, financial institutions, developers, and local, state and federal government institutions to stimulate economic revitalization and community growth. Northside Community Development Fund The Northside Community Development Fund (Northside Fund) is a 501(c)(3) CDFI certified by the Department of Treasury. Established in 2000, the organization is dedicated to a mission of “providing financing and development services to promote community development on Pittsburgh’s Northside.” The Northside Fund operates two lines of business-commercial lending and development services and commercial real estate investment. A third line of business-residential financing services-will be launched in 2006. North Side Chamber of Commerce Founded in 1897, the North Side Chamber of Commerce (NSCC) began helping merchants at the turn of the century in the North Side Market District.The NSCC is a service organization that creates, develops, and fosters a supportive climate the serves the interests of its members.As a partner with business, the Chamber is a resource of services that help to promote, maintain and enhance business activities.
