Hispanic Center of Pittsburgh

The Hispanic Center, Inc. was founded to address the workforce needs of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Its mission is the recruitment, placement, and retention of workers to the area, focusing primarily but not exclusively, on the Hispanic population.

The Center provides: on-site ESL classes, work-readiness workshops, computer training, vocational training, and access to Goodwill Industry and Community College of Allegheny County resources.

Mercy Behavioral Health

Mercy Behavioral Health helps people set personal goals and gain the skills they need to make their dreams come true. Some of the individuals they serve have been diagnosed with mental retardation. Self-determination is at the heart of Mercy's mental retardation program. They encourage individuals to determine the substance, texture and direction of their lives.
Working Partners is a full-service program providing training, job placement, and long-term, follow-up support. Additionally, Working Partners offers training and support to employers as well as co-workers, and administers vocational evaluations, which reveal a person's strengths and abilities.



Goodwill Industries

Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh is a human service agency and network of not-for-profit businesses whose mission is to help people with special needs overcome barriers to employment and enjoy the dignity and benefits of work and improved quality of life. Goodwill Pittsburgh and its affiliates employ more than 900 people, making it one of the largest and most diverse social and human service organizations in the region.
Goodwill Industires offers a variety of assessment services including: Vocational Evaluation Lab, situational assessment, career counseling and on-site work training opportunities. The Goodwill Employment Training Center (GETC), a state-licensed private school, offers several diploma programs of study that prepare students to successfully enter the contemporary world of work; such as: word processing clerk diploma program, short-term computer training, MOS training in Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Goodwill also provides a variety of workforce development and contract services.



CareerLink

CareerLink is a one-stop shop that connects employers and job seekers in the most efficient manner possible. At the sites in downtown Pittsburgh, CCAC, and the Northside Leadership Conference highly-trained staff offers visitors a wide range of materials, consultation services, and on-line access to a comprehensive database of employment information.
CareerLink offers: assessment of individuals' skills, job matching, training and education opportunities. They are organized into industry clusters which present the greatest opportunities for the job seekers who currently utilize CareerLink services:manufacturing, financial services, healthcare/biomedical, information technology and hospitality/tourism.
Careerlink can help employers through: expertise in obtaining referrals of candidates for employment, identifying training needs and resources, addressing strategic planning issues relating to the labor market, access to qualified candidates, as well as financial incentives.


CCAC Career Services

The Career Services/Placement Office offers on the CCAC Job Bank listings of local opportunities for full- and part-time employment. 
Our professional placement staff helps students develop career search strategies exploring how to tap into hidden job markets. Staff members can help students investigate career openings, job opportunities and job growth potential in various fields.
Every Wednesday businesses may offer job recruitment opportunities on campus.

RESET Program

RESET is Welfare Reform in the State of Pennsylvania. RESET stands for Road to Economic Self-Sufficiency through Employment and Training. Some of the programs include: Single Point of Contact (SPOC); Pregnant and Parenting Youth (PPY); Fatherhood Initiative Program, Welfare-to-Work, Directed Job Search Component, and Work Activity Expansion just to name a few. The programs are designed to help eligible individuals find and retain meaningful employment.

Some of the services available include: GED preparation, specialized job training, job placement, job search/job readiness, paid work experience, skill upgrade, education upgrade, post-employment follow-up and much more.
